The PTC Solenoid Valve is a pressure-to-close design that ensures the control port remains isolated from the pressure source to help safeguard against any unexpected system conditions. This design offers the added performance benefit of reduced leakage. In exchange, there is a reduction in flow capacity and the package size and weight are slightly increased when compared to the standard piloting solenoid valve. This design utilizes MultiSeal® technology, eliminating the need for O-rings, simplifying port layout, and offering significant space and weight savings.

The Lee Company has developed the Lohm Laws for defining and measuring resistance to fluid flow. The Lohm is defined such that 1 Lohm will flow 100 GPM of water with a pressure drop of 25 psi at a temperature of 80°F.
