This self-retained, threadless flow restrictor is the smallest available, allowing designers to save space and weight in metal housings. The orifice is 100% flow tested on distilled water to ensure that every part is within ± 5% of its nominal flow rate. Tighter tolerances are available as specials. To increase accuracy, the orifice is tested in the direction of use. An integral safety screen is incorporated for configurations with an orifice diameter of 0.5 mm (0.020 of an inch) or below. This restrictor is constructed entirely of stainless steel.

The Lee Company has developed the Lohm Laws for defining and measuring resistance to fluid flow. The Lohm is defined such that 1 Lohm will flow 100 GPM of water with a pressure drop of 25 psi at a temperature of 80°F.
