The Lee Company was awarded General Motors’ Supplier Quality Excellence Award for the 2018 calendar year. This is the fifth time that The Lee Company has been acknowledged with this prestigious award. Suppliers who receive this award have achieved the cross-functional support of the entire GM organization and have met or exceeded a very stringent set of quality performance criteria including, but not limited to, passing General Motors’ new supplier quality program called Built-in Quality Supply (BIQS). BIQS assesses suppliers according to 30 different elements including various requirements such as manufacturing, risk management, calibration, and packaging. Only 432 of General Motors’ 4,000 suppliers received the 2018 award.
The Lee Company is extremely honored to once again receive this award and looks forward to continuing to provide innovative technologies to General Motors and their customers.
