Lee offers two types of shut-off valves – bypass valves and flow fuses. Bypass valves are hydraulically piloted to shut off the flow, while flow fuses shut off flow when the flow rate through the valve reaches a defined limit.
Bypass valves are three-port valves that use a unique compression seal to eliminate bypass leakage and any need for additional O-rings. They are known for their miniature size, easy installation, and precise, reliable performance.
Flow fuses are found throughout critical hydraulic systems. The fuse will sense and shut off if the flow rate exceeds a predefined limit, preserving hydraulic power and functions upstream of the fuse. A flow fuse can also function as a vent valve to purge trapped air or vapor from a fluidic system.
As with all our products, Lee shut-off valves are known for their miniature size (which helps save weight and space in critical applications), easy installation, and precise, reliable performance. Over 50% of components manufactured by The Lee Company are unique products designed to meet the requirements of a specific application. As a result, our capabilities far exceed our standard product line. So whether it is flow rate, shut-off pressure, leakage, envelope, or material, contact a local Lee Sales Engineer to design the right shut-off valve for you.
