Position: Drafter/PDM Admin

Location: Westbrook, CT | Full Time

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or trade school education.
  • Some experience in the use of SolidWorks, PDM, and ideally a Certified PDM Administrator Professional.
  • Mechanical aptitude and use of significant mathematical skills.
  • Must be able to proofread documents, read blueprints, train others, complete production paperwork.

Responsibilities:

  • Following specified procedures, sound drafting techniques, alter layout and detail more complex drawings to suit engineering changes and initiate change orders using computer aided drafting programs.
  • Calculate dimensions and specify standard allowances in accordance with established procedures when detail is sectionalized, or dimensions and allowances are not stated on layouts.
  • Material specifications, part numbers and other technical data required.
  • Operate copy machines, file drawings and perform other miscellaneous drafting room assignments.
